August 19, 1985: The doors open on a virtually empty thousand-square-foot white room. In the center is an aluminum lawn chair pulled up to a card table. The guy in the chair is rehairing a bow.

Those were the first moments of the Jay R. Rury Violin Shop. A lot has changed in the ensuing 26 years, but one thing has not changed: Our dedication to providing the best quality in repair and restoration, instruments, accessories, and service to the music community of North Central Texas.

Another thing that hasn't changed, but has grown with time, is the wonderful community of loyal customers and friends who put their trust in us. We're so very grateful for our relationship of mutual support with you.
